Up in the rocks, it dwells in the waters
Under the veil of water lilies, dreaming on the bottom
About the time before time, when no human foot
crossed his small realm
An enormous man with the head of an ox
Two mighty horns against the stars
After the evening bells toll
he sometimes walks out of the lake

down in the village
Even the maior drinks up a bottle of spirits

From behind the carillon of icicles
a horn-adorned bonce is to be seen
